ABOUT PASSION FRUIT: This tropical fruit has a refreshing tropical aroma and intense flavor. Interestingly, it is neither from tree nor bush, but instead is the fruit of a prolific vine. Called "Lilikoi" in Hawaii the edible Passion Fruit, "Passiflora edulis", includes both purple and yellow varities. The fruit is slightly bigger than a large egg with a thick outer layer. Inside the fruit has a translucent pulp and numerous small seeds. The pulp is the edible part of the fruit and can be easily strained to separate it from the seeds.
